At twelve, Eric could run a 5 minute mile.

Answer:

I'm not sure what you're asking, but if Eric can run 1 mile in 5 minutes, we can multiply this by twelve to find his MPH speed. This converting 1/5 to x/60 which would give us 12 MPH. If we hypothetically said that Eric could run one mile faster per year, that would explain that at age 12, Eric could run 12 miles :)
