If there are 40 boys and 20 girls in a room, fill out all of the possible ratios of boys to girls that could be made.

Answer: 2:1

4:2

8:4

10:5

20:10

Explanation:

For every 2 boys there is one girl which keeps it even.

For every 4 boys there would be 2 girls which keeps it even.

For every 8 boys there would be 4 girls which keeps it even and not having less of anybody or more of anybody and so forth.

In your case, for every 40 boys, there are 20 girls. if we simplify this all the way down, we can get 2 to 1.
