There is a famous pythagorean triplet: 8, 15, 17

8 - leg

15 - leg

17 - hypotenuse

Area of triangle = 1/2base x height

To solve the area of this triangle, you can not use 17.

Base = 8

Height = 15

1/2 of 8 = 4

4*15 = 60

I'm not 100% sure about this since I'm not familiar with this topic myself but I would say that the area of the triangle should be 60m.

Explanation:

You find the base and the height first and then just use the formula that I forgot the name of. You can check a calculator or other sources to find the area. I'm sorry but I hope this helped at least a bit.
