Hey there!

3(4 - 6) = 12 - 18

3(4) + 3(-6) = 12 - 18

12 - 18 = 12 - 18

Based on the operation we had to do was: DISTRIBUTE 3 within in the parentheses on the first half of the equation because it should be able to breakdown your whole entire equation to “easier” terms. If it were an order of operation/PEMDAS equation you would have to do what’s inside of the parentheses first because that’s what “P” stands for in PEMDAS.

Good luck on your assignment & enjoy your day!
