i think people do that so the products don't get destroyed. like, you wouldn't put bread and canned foods in the same bag. or maybe it's to organize them by category, etc. so when you get home to put up the groceries, they're all in the same place. like all the fridge items are in this bag. i don't know honestly. just my opinion.
