if a = -b, then -a = b.

plug that into the (b = -c) problem, and you get -a = -c, or a = c

if a and c ar equal, then and b = -c, b also equals -a.

the problem then becomes a - b +c, where a = 8, c = 8, and b = -8

a = -b -> 8 = -(-8)

b = -c -> -8 = -(8)

a = c -> 8 = 8
