Video games were created in 1967 by Ralph Baer.They can help with problem solving,improvements in job skills,and many other things.There are bad effects on people like they are addictive,they cause aggressive behaviors in young children, and they cause poor academic performances.

Video games can help improve problem solving. When the gamer is playing the game they have to think fast on how to win and survive the game. That makes them think fast and respond faster than average people who don't play video games. They can become more aware of their surroundings that can help in many life threatening situations. “Games often encourage players to think strategically about individual steps in relation to other steps, and as part of a more complex overall process. Researchers have found that over time, gamers tend to be better able to navigate through real-life projects, from gathering information, to weighing different options, to formulating and then executing a strategy.(source 1)”
