The Greenwood district in Tulsa came to be known as "Black Wall Street", one of the most commercially successful and affluent majority African-American communities in the United States.

Black wall street was a place in Tulsa,Oklahoma where African Americans had created their businesses in the 20th century , that is until the Tulsa race riot that resulted in the businesses being destroyed .
