Explanation:

Using the midpoint formula

(
(x_(1)+x_(2) )/(2) ,
(y_(1)+y_(2) )/(2) )

Equate each of the coordinates of the midpoint

let S = (x, y ), then

(x₁, y₁ ) = T(0, 2) and (x₂, y₂ ) = S(x, y ), then


(0+x)/(2) = 1 ( multiply both sides by 2 )

x = 2


(y+2)/(2) = - 5 ( multiply both sides by 2 )

y + 2 = - 10 ( subtract 2 from both sides )

y = - 12

S = (2, - 12 )
