Start at -10. Note that to get to -16, we need to move 2 spaces. This is a distance of 6 units.

2 spaces = 6 units

1 space = 3 units (divide both sides by 2)

Each tickmark represents 3 units.

Go another 2 spaces over and we go 2*3 = 6 units to the left getting to -16-6 = -22

Answer: -22
