Solve the equation 3x + 7 = 5x - 2 , please :)

if i’m not mistaking the answer should be x= 9/2

Answer: x=9/2

Step-by-step explanation: Step 1) subtract 5x from both sides 3x+7-5x=5x-2 -5x = -2x+7=-2

Step 2) Subtract 7 from both sides -2x+7-7= -2 -7 -2x=-9

Step 3) Divide both sides by -2 -2x/-2 = -9/-2 x=9/2
