First you would have to distribute -5 through the first set of parentheses which would make the equation 3x-5x+30=2(10-x). Then you would have to distribute 2 through the second pair of parentheses which makes the equation 3x-5x+30=20-2x. You would then have to collect like terms which gets the equation to -2x+30=20-2x. You then cancel equal terms which makes the solution 30=20 so the statement is false.
