Explain why leaves often contain starch​

In the leaf, excess glucose is rapidly converted to starch. During photosynthesis, plants produce glucose and oxygen, reacting with water and Carbon dioxide i.e. CO2. But, during this process, plants often change some of the glucose into starch, for storage.Aug 17, 2017
