Answer: 24 inches
Explanation:
Set up the proportion 8/3 = x/9 so the 8 inches match up with the unknown amount of inches it snowed and 3 hours with the 9 hours.
Cross multiply. 3x = 72
Divide by 3 on both sides. x = 24
