A surf instructor has an initial fee of $12 and charges $8 per hour for lessons,

explain how to determine what the y-intercept is and where it would be located on a graph.
Please help me, i'm stupid and i don't know where, or how to find this.

h= numbers of hours, the instructor will charge $8 per hour.

s= amount of $

"12" is the initial fee.

From this information the equation will look like:

s=8h

However, on our graph, we will have to start on 12 since this was the initial fee. (so on the y, put a dot on 12.)

I think that (0, 12) is the y-intercept but I'm not entirely sure. In reality, your graph can't have any negative h(x) or y(s) values so the graph would be shaped like an "L".
