The perimeter of a rectangular field is 48m, if the length is twice the width . Find the area of the field.​

Explanation:

→Perimeter (P) = 2×(L+W) Perimeter = 48m

But Length = 2 × Width

∴ P = 2×( 2W + W)

= 2×(3W)

48 = 6W

Divide both sides by 6


(48)/(6) =
(6)/(6) W

∴Width (W) = 8m

→This means Length = 2W

= 2×8m

L = 16m

→Area of a rectangle = L × W

= 8m × 16m

∴ Area of the rectangular field=
128m^(2)
