To Find: Value of (d) if,

6(d - 4) = 18 d.

6(d - 4) = 18d

→ 6d - 24 = 18d

(Simplified the LHS portion)

→ 6d - 18 d = 24

(Like terms are separated)

→ - 12d = 24

→ - d = 24/12

→ - d = 2

d = - 2

Verification:-

LHS:-

6(d - 4)

= 6d - 24

= 6(- 2) - 24

= - 12 - 24

= - 36

RHS:-

18d

= 18(- 2)

= - 36

Thus,

LHS = RHS.

Answer:

d = -2

Explanation:

6 (d-4) = 18d

6d - 24 = 18 d

-24 = 18d - 6d

-24 = 12d

d = -24 / 12

d = -2
