Answer:

y = 4x - 14 or y = 2(x - 7)

Explanation:

Finding the slope

  • m = -2 - 6 / 3 - 5
  • m = -8/-2
  • m = 4

Finding the y-intercept

  • Take x-coordinate to be 0 and take one of the 2 points mentioned and put in the point-slope equation form
  • y - 6 = 4(0 - 5)
  • y - 6 = 4(-5)
  • y = -14

Making the equation using slope-intercept form

  • y = mx + c
  • y = 4x - 14 or y = 2(x - 7)

Explanation:

(-2-6)/(3-5)= -8/-2= 4

y+2= 4(x-3)

y+2= 4x-12

y=4x-14
