I used to think of colorism as a thing of past but as new light has been put on this topic the severity of the discrimination and issues caused by it is very prevalent in society. In asia, people have always preferred whilte western look ence they color shame and bad talk darker people. Fairness cream was soo extensively used that it is currently banned in India. I have never experienced this but news is proff of the negativity colorism has caused.
