1. 4x+2y=6

x-y=3 < mutiply by 2

4x+2y=6

2x-2y=6 (Add)

6x =12x=12/6 = 2

Substitute 1 back in

4*2+2y=6

8+2y=6 2y=-2 y=-1

Solution: x=2 y=-1
