5(4K-2)+7(4-3k)=17
(20k-10)+(28-21k)=17
-k+18=17
-k=-1
k=1

I put it in parentheses so it’s easier to read
The way I got -k was by combining like terms, so 20k-21k. (-k also equals -1k) I got 18 by doing -10+20. Then you will move the 18 over and since it’s positive, when you move it over you will subtract (so 17-18). Since I had a negative variable (-k) I divided the negatives out (so -k=-1 went to k=1)

Your answer should be k=1
