Co-ordinates of the focus is; (0, -4)

Explanation:

We are given;

Vertex at origin; (0, 0)

Equation of parabola; y = x²/4p

4p = -16

Now,in parabola with vertex at origin, the coordinates of the focus is usually at (0, p)

Now, from 4p = -16 we can find p

p = -16/4

p = -4

Thus coordinates of the focus is; (0, -4)
