Answer: 28-6x

This is the same as -6x+28

===============================

To get that answer, you multiply each term inside the parenthesis by the outer term 2

14 * 2 = 28

-3x * 2 = -6x

So,

(14-3x)*2 = 14*2 - 3x*2 = 28-6x

----------

The distribution rule says

a(b-c) = ab-ac

which is the same as saying

(b-c)a = ba-ca

We can flip things around because we can multiply in any order.

Answer:

\huge\boxed{\sf{28-6x}}

Explanation:

Hello.

In order to simplify this expression, all we have to do is multiply 14-3x times 2 and then simplify.

First, 14 times 2 is 28.

Then, -3x times 2 is equal to -6x.

Put the terms together:

28-6x

Can we simplify this any further? No, because constants and variables are not like terms.

Thus, the expression is

28-6x

And we're done!

I hope it helps & have an outstanding day.
