Explanation:

Take two points that are on the line.

In this case, I have taken (-3,2) <- this is
(x_(1) ,y_(1) )

and (1,-1) <- this is
(x_(2) ,y_(2) )

To find the slope, you do the equation
(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) )

Put in the values:


(-1-2)/(1-(-3)) =-(3)/(4)
