Answer:

\boxed{ \bold{ \huge{ \boxed{ \sf{15y + 6}}}}}

Explanation:

\sf{(8y + {y}^(2) + 7y + 9) - ( {y}^(2) + 3)}

When there is a ( - ) in front of an expression in parentheses, change the sign of each term

\dashrightarrow \sf{8y + {y}^(2) + 7y + 9 - {y}^(2) - 3}

Since two opposites add up to zero, remove them from the expression

\dashrightarrow{ \sf{8y + 7y + 9 - 3}}

Add the like terms : 8y and 7y

\dashrightarrow{ \sf{15y + 9 - 3}}

The negative and positive integers are always subtracted but posses the sign of the bigger integer

\longrightarrow{ \sf{15y + 6}}

Hope I helped!

Best regards! :D
