(x+3)(4x2-x-8) = -x(x+3)
Steps:
(x+3)(4x2-x-8)
Multiply the numbers: 4x2=8
= (x+3)(-x+8-8)
Simplify: 8-x-8: -x
= (x+3)(-x)
Remove parentheses: (-a) = -a
= -(x+3)x
