5=x

Explanation:

f(4)= f(x)

so, f(4)=(x-1)

then you just view the problem as, 4=x-1

so, 4+1=x because you need to get the x by itself so you have to move the 1 so it is with the 4. to get it to the other side you have to add it since is is being subtracted from the x. which makes it 5=x.
