Can anyone help me?

The circle at each end of the court that surrounds the free throw line is the same size as the jump ball circle. (In other words, they have the same radius.) What is the area of the rectangle (called the lane) whose length is 19 and whose width is the free throw line?

The diameter of the jumping circle is 12. So the width of the rectangle is 12. You then multiply the length by the width 12x19. And your answer is 228.
