Hey ! there

Answer:

  • Area of circle is 0.785 in² .

Explanation:

In this question we have a circle having diameter 1 in . And we are asked to find the area of circle .

For finding area of circle, we need to know its formula . So ,

\qquad \: \qquad \: \underline{ \boxed{\frak{Area_((Circle)) = \pi r {}^(2) }}}

Where ,

  • π refers to 3.14 or 22/7

  • r refers to radius of circle

Solution : -

In the question we are given with diameter . We need to find radius of circle .

  • Diameter = 2 × Radius

  • Radius = Diameter/2

So ,

  • Radius = 1/2 in or 0.5 in

Now finding area , by substituting value of π as 3.14 and value of radius as 0.5 in the formula :

\longmapsto \qquad \: 3.14 *( 0.5) {}^(2)

Simplifying it :

\longmapsto \qquad \:3.14 * 0.5 * 0.5

Multiplying 0.5 with 0.5 :

\longmapsto \qquad \:3.14 * 0.25

Multiplying 3.14 with 0.25 :

\longmapsto \qquad \: \red{\underline{\boxed{\frak{0.785 \: in{}^(2) }}}} \quad \bigstar

  • Henceforth , area of circle having diameter 1 in is 0.785 inches square .

Answer:

0.79 in²

Explanation:

Given that,

→ Diameter = 1 in

→ Radius (r) = 1/2 = 0.5

Formula we use,

→ πr²

The area of the circle will be,

→ πr²

→ (22/7) × 0.5 × 0.5

→ 0.78571428571

→ [ 0.79 in² ]

Hence, area of circle is 0.79 in².
