Explanation:

Given:

y=-5x+6 ----------(1)

y=3x-2 ----------(2)

As L.H.S from equation 1 and 2 are equal R.H.S will also be equal

Therefore

-5x+6=3x-2

-5x-3x=-2-6

-8x=-8

x=1

put x=1 in equation (1)

y=-5×1+6

y=-5+6

y=1

Therefore , x=1 and y=1.
