Answer:

Area = 794.23 yd²

Explanation:

In order to find the area of the circle we must first find it's radius using the circumference

Circumference of a circle = 2πr

where

r is the radius

From the question

Circumference = 100 yd

So we have

100 = 2πr

Divide both sides by 2π

We have

r = (100)/(2\pi) \\ = (50)/(\pi) \\ = 15.91549

We have

radius = 15.9 yd

Since we've found the radius we can use it to find the area

Area of circle = πr²

Area = (15.9)²π

Area = 252.81

= 794.226

We have the final answer as

Area = 794.23 yd² to 2 decimal places

Hope this helps you
