A planter in the shape of a cube has a volume of l000 in to the 3rd power. Is the area of the base of the cube greater than or less 1 square foot? Explain

Greater than 1 square foot.
The volume formula for a cube is the length x width x height or just one of them to the 3rd power. To find the area you would just do the cubed root of the volume which is 1000. 1000 cubed is 10. That gives you the length, width, and height because they’re all equal. Then to find the area of the base you multiply length x width. Therefore the area of the base of the cube is 100.
