A truck can be rented from Company A for $120 a day plus $0.40 per mile. Company B charges $40 a day plus $0.60 per mile to rent the same truck. Find the number of miles in a day at which the rental costs for Company A and Company B are the same.

Answer: 400 miles

Explanation:

Let x= the amount of miles

120+0.4x=40+0.6x

80+0.4x=0.6x

80=0.2x

x=400

400 miles a day the rental cost will be same

Hope this helps!! :)
