V = πr²h where;

r is the radius of the cylindrical can

h is the height of the can.

Given parameters

Volume of the can of soup = 20πin³

diameter of the can = 4inches

Since diameter = 2r

radius = d/2 = 4/2 = 2inches

Required parameter.

Height of the can

Substituting the given parameters into the formula to get the height h will give;

20π = πr²h

20 = r²h

20 = 2²h

20 = 4h

Divide both sides by 4:

4h/4 = 20/4

h = 5inches

Hence the heighr of the can is 5 inches
