● x(-2,0)

● y(3,-2)

There are many methods to find the distance between x and y. We will use the distance formula.

Let d be the distance between x and y.

● d = √[(-2-3)^2 + (0-(-2))^2]

● d = √[(-5)^2 + 2^2]

● d = √(25+ 4)

● d = √(29)

The other method was using the pythagorian theorem. d is the hypotenus.
