x = {9, -3}
Explanation:
2| x-3| - 5 = 7
2| x-3| = 12
| x-3| = 6
x - 3 = ± 6
⇒ x= 3+ 6= 9
⇒ x= 3 - 6= -3
Or it can be shown as:
x= {9, -3}
