Explanation:

Vertically opposite, also interior angles always add up to 180° so if you want to double check this, do 145° + 35° you should get 180°

Explanation:

There are two ways to find the value of X


x + 35 = 180
( sum of co-interior angles)

Move constant to R.H.S and change its sign


x = 180 - 35

Calculate the difference


x = 145
°

You can use another way too.


x = 145
° ( being vertically opposite angles)

Vertically opposite angles are always equal.
