Another problem for Libertarianism and a possible solution to that problem that

we've covered:
If a free will means being able to do what you want while all else stays the same,
then how can we make sense of someone doing otherwise than what their
beliefs and desires make sense for them to do? Perhaps what it means to be free
is to assign weight to possible beliefs and desires; it is the assigning of weight
that is the free choice.
If a free will means being able to have done otherwise while all else stays the
same, then how can we make sense of someone doing otherwise than what their
beliefs and desires make sense for them to do? Perhaps we should just say that
people can choose to be irrational,

None of the above.

Correct Answer:

If a free will means being able to have done otherwise than one did while all else stays the same, then how can we make sense of someone doing otherwise than what their beliefs and desires make sense for them to do? Perhaps what it means to be free is to assign weight to possible beliefs and desires: it is the assigning of weight that is the free choice.

Step-by-step explanation:

Libertarianism is one of the main philosophical point in life which is related to the problems of free will and determinism. This argues that free will is logically incompatible with a deterministic universe. That is, since agents or people have free will, determinism must be false.
