Answer

QUESTION①):

✔ First calculating the speed :

V = d(in m)/t(in s)

  • V = 120/5
  • V = 24 m/s

✔ You now know the average car's speed, is time it takes to stop it completely, so you can calculate its acceleration :

a = V/t

  • a = -24/4
  • a = 6 m/s²

The car has an acceleration of 6 m/s².
