slope of the line containing the given points (6,-1) AND (5,-7) is 6

point- slope form of the equation is

(y+1)= 6(x-6) ( because, i'm choosing the point (6,-1)

Explanation:

slope = (-7 + 1) / (5 - 6 ) = -6/-1 = 6

(y-y1) = m ( x - x1)

(y+1 ) = 6 ( x-6)
