Make x the subject in the second equation and substitute it into the first equation

That's

x = 4y - 3

5(4y - 3) + 2y = - 15

22y = 0

Divide both sides by 22

y = 0

Substitute y = 0 into x = 4y - 3

That's

x = 4(0) - 3

x = - 3

x = - 3 y = 0
