Happiness is one of the most important feelings for humanity. For this reason, we are always trying to be happy and looking for ways to achieve this feeling by allowing it to be present in our lives constantly.
This search for happiness is often the main reason why we cannot feel it. The search often leaves us unhappy, dissatisfied, sad. This is because we cannot understand happiness properly, let alone know where to find it. This makes it seem that being happy is complicated, however that is an incorrect thought, because happiness is simple.
Simplicity, on the other hand, is very difficult. We are constantly moving away from what is simple, because a life in real simplicity is difficult to please and we are too selfish to open the mother of our technology, our money, our expensive clothes, our consumerism and so many other perks that it can allow us passenger comfort, but it prevents us from living simply and consequently happy.
We grew up in an environment that influences us to always seek more. A better house, a better job, more shoes, more friends, more loves, because our society believes that this will make us happy, but happiness depends solely on ourselves in a simple, clear and objective way. We do not want to abandon these things, but happiness is not in them and that is why we are so dissatisfied.
We must then practice detachment from everything that is in excess in our lives, we will find happiness when we learn the difficult lesson of being simple and this will only be possible after we perform an even more difficult task, to know ourselves deeply , that way we will realize how little we need to be happy.
