example of fraction:

5/9*4/9

1.Reverse the middle fraction around:


4/9=9/4

2.Reverse the * into multiplication:


(4)/(9)·
(9)/(4)

3.Multiply the two terms:


(4)/(9)·
(9)/(4)=1(1)/(4)

Step-by-step explanation: So to divide a fraction, to make it easier, we do first fraction multiplied by second one, but the second fraction is flipped over when multiplied, the reciprocal, basically, and nothing else changes!
