Answer:

A. Powerful individuals could dictate what the media presents.

Step-by-step explanation:

Individuals with wealth and power can heavily influence what the media presents by either paying the organization or certain reporters to give them a good vision (regardless if it is true or not), or pay them to bash their opponents down. The 1st Amendment guarantees that each individual not only have their own opinions, but that the press also has the freedom to spin the story to their liking (though the more truthful the better). The repealing of the press would also affect the freedom of speech, as many people are influenced by what they see and hear on the news. Removing the media would prohibit the exercise of obtaining the needed information to either formulate or jump to the conclusion for each individual.

The repealing of the 1st Amendment would also classify the U.S. into a more heavily religious country (as if it has not been). The 1st Amendment limits how much religion can extend to influence the daily politics and governmental actions. It also allows for people to assemble (such as for voting, meeting for fellowship or group hangout, etc.) Removing the 1st Amendment would significantly remove the allowance for Americans to have large human contact with each other.

The 1st Amendment can be said to be the foundation for all other rights Americans have. With the repeal of the 1st Amendment, we already lose a large amount of rights, and the loss of the largest one would open up the way for us to lose all of our other rights.
