Explanation:

Given

a(7x+2)=bx+8

=> 7ax + 2a = bx + 8

in both the equation there is a term containing x and a term not containing x.

since value of both equation is equal. hence

term containing x on both side will be equal to each and

term independent of x will be equal in both the equation

thus

7ax = bx

2a = 8

=> a = 8/2 = 4

now, plugging a = 4 in 7ax = bx

7*4x = bx

=> b = 7*4x/x = 28.

Thus, value of b is 28.
