Answer:

perpendicular : y = 1

x = 1 is a vertical line infinitely long at x = 1. so, we also know that y = 1 is a horizontal line at y = 1. Hence, they are parallel

parallel : x = 2

since x = 1 is a vertical line at x = 1, we can get another vertical line at the x- axis, which will be parallel to the given line. hence, x = 2 is a vertical line at x = 2, as it is at a distance of 2 units from the initial line no matter where, x = 2 is parallel to x = 1
