Original length x 2/7 = 70cm so we just have to work backwards so the answer is

Original length = 70/(5/7) = 98cm

OR

WE KNOW THAT 5/7 = 70 so 1/7 = 70/5 = 14 so we times 14 by 7 to get 98cm
