Answer:

a. 3.25 m

b.1.2 ft

Solution,

a. Let 'h' be the height of cylinder

Given,

Radius(r)=0.7 m

Volume(v)=5 m^3

Formula to find volume of cylinder

\pi {r}^(2) h

where r= radius and h= height

so,

(22)/(7) * 0.7 * 0.7 * h = 5 \\ or \: h = (5 * 7)/(22 * 0.7 * 0.7) \\ or \: h = (35)/(22 * 0.49) \\ or \: h = (35)/(10.78) \\ h = 3.25 \: m

b.

volume = 1.59 = (14)/(12) * (14)/(12) * h \\ 1.59 = \frac{ {14}^(2) }{144} * h \\ h = (1.59 * 144)/(196) \\ h = 1.168 \: ft \\ h = 1.2 \: ft

hope this helps...

Good luck on your assignment...

Answer: height = 1.16 ft

Explanation:

14 inches = 1.17 feet

Height of the oven =

Height = volume / lw

H = 1.59 / 1.17*1.17

H = 1.16 feet
