Once a upon a time, there was boy who lived in a village.
One day his father asked him to bring the goats back into the cage.
When he finished he thought of teasing the people of the village. He cried out “Help, Help! There’s a wolf.”
Everyone rushed out of their homes with sticks in their hands and saw no wolf. The boy burst into laughter. “Ha ha, caught you!” Everyone was mad and went back inside.
The next the day, the boy was again asked to collect the goats. He did so, and again thought of playing the same mischievous trick. “Help, the wolf is eating the goats!” He screamed and again everyone came out running, this time with no sticks. The boy laughed and said, “It is so easy to tease you all.”
The boy repeated this for two more days and soon no one came out running to his screams.
The boy was asked to collect the goats again after a long time. When he did so, he saw a wolf running towards the village. This time he screamed with real fear. “Help, there’s a wolf! I’m not lying this time. Please, someone help me!”
The wolf reached the boy and ate him. No body had come out to save the boy.
Moral of the story: Do not lie and play tricks on people because one day they’ll stop believing you.
