Answer:

5 units

Solution,

Let the points be A and B

A(5,3)----->(X1,y1)

B(5,-2)------>(x2,y2)

Now,

ab = \sqrt{ {(x2 - x1)}^(2) + {(y2 - y1)}^(2) } \\ \: \: \: \: \: = \sqrt{ {(5 - 5)}^(2) + {( - 2 - 3)}^(2) } \\ \: \: \: = \sqrt{ {(0)}^(2) + {( - 5)}^(2) } \\ \: \: \: = √(0 + 25) \\ \: \: \: = √(25) \\ \: \: \: = \sqrt{ {(5)}^(2) } \\ \: \: \: = 5 \: units

hope this helps .....

Good luck on your assignment...

Answer:

5

Explanation:

The distance is 5 because when you count out the units on the graph, it is 5 apart.

To double check, you could also use distance formula, which would give you √25, which is also 5
